could we have designed a better system to end human invention?

when I look at the way globalisation is spinning in NW hemispheres - and epicentrally wall street - I wonder if we could have come up with a global system more likely to end real human inventions ... history shows that it often took a small passionate team half a life time to come up with a chnge world invention; not time-sheeted man

now of course in our netwok age we have new possibilities - but my guess is that heroic innovation will come about in 2 main ways

better matching of small tems - ie next to zero degrees of separtion between those who want to invent the same solution for humanity

openly publishing findings so that you network stays at the front of connecting what you most want to explore - we welcome cases on how innovations that advanced the human lot really happened
